Our School
Nestled in the heart of the beautiful Southern Highlands, in Burradoo, Oxley College is an independent co-educational school for students from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 12. We’re proud to be non-denominational, regional and dedicated to providing an exceptional educational experience.
A Holistic Approach to Education
At Oxley, education is about developing character, fostering curiosity and building kindness. We nurture the whole child - every child - through enlightened academic rigour and a commitment to care.
We’re big enough to inspire dreams yet small enough to truly know each student. This balance allows our students boundless opportunities - yet every child feels supported and valued as an individual.
Oxley students make positive contributions to communities near and far. In fact, it’s a built-in part of their school life. Because they are challenged along the way, Oxley graduates are also ready to be challenged. They are critical thinkers and confident, socially aware communicators.
A Campus that Inspires
Our beautiful 7-hectare campus reflects our commitment to sustainability and connection with nature. With its established trees, thoughtfully designed buildings and harmonious landscaping, Oxley’s setting inspires learning and wellbeing. It’s a place to explore, grow and thrive.
The Oxley Experience
Experiential education is at the heart of what we do. From the renowned Outback program to rich cultural exchanges through our Round Square partnerships, students gain the skills, confidence and wisdom to face tomorrow’s opportunities and challenges.
Our Connected Community
Oxley College is authentically a Pre-K to Year 12 school, where our youngest learners are connected to our Senior School students. Enjoy Kindergarten farewelling our Year 12 students.
Explore the Oxley College Grounds
Oxley College is home to the oldest Pin Oak tree in the Southern Highlands. Along with Founders Field and the historic Elvo building, the tree is a focal point of our campus. Our youngest students jump on their bikes to zoom under its branches and back to their purpose-built playground. Our senior students can be found at rest in the shade. On a misty morning, you might hear our pipe band rehearsing outside.

The campus is also home to state-of-the-art educational facilities, continuously upgraded as part of our master plan. Students, families and staff enjoy specialist buildings, architect-designed gardens and nature-based playgrounds that inspire creative play.
Oxley’s purpose-designed music centre has a range of spaces for individual lessons, practice and orchestra rehearsal. Our new gym was designed with students and community in mind. And everyone benefits from Oxley’s sports facilities, which include pitches for athletics, netball, tennis, hockey, rugby, cricket and more.
Hoskins Hall is home to our theatre productions: in 2024, we invited the community to see our hardworking, talented students perform Matilda Jr and Mamma Mia!
The David Wright Library is well equipped with print and electronic resources and a vibrant place of learning, with a study club for seniors meeting every weeknight.
