An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Canteen Assistant who is passionate about delivering high-quality food handling processes and exceptional customer service to staff and students.
The Canteen Assistant is a valued member of the College community and reports directly to the Canteen Supervisor and Business Manager. This role involves assisting in the preparation, handling, and serving of food, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, and contributing to the smooth daily operations of the canteen.
Key responsibilities include:
· Supporting the preparation and safe handling of food in accordance with relevant hygiene and safety regulations.
· Delivering friendly and efficient customer service to staff and students, ensuring a welcoming canteen environment.
· Assisting with stock management, including receiving and storing supplies.
· Maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the canteen.
The ideal candidate will be flexible, proactive, and solution-focused, with a positive approach to their work. They will have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact respectfully and professionally with all members of the College community.
The position is casual and works during College Term times only.
